I have followed my diagrams and the alternator belt will not come off. Any suggestions?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com. There are two bolts on the alternator which need loosened. Once they are loose, there is an adjusting bolt at the very bottom which you will have to loosen. Keep in mind, sometimes corrosion will continue to hold the alternator from moving once tension is released. Gently tap the alternator in the loosen direction to remove the belt. I have attached a picture of the belts/alternator which indicate bolt and adjuster information. Additionally, I have attached a belt tension guide, but most do not have the tension tester. Regardless, I attached it.

I hope this helps. Let me know how things work out for you.

Take care,
Joe
