I have a friend's car that is listed above. I don't like that the battery is so hard to access. My thoughts are so you take it to a Ford dealership. But anyways. This older couple in my neighborhood has a new battery that is only a few months old. They said the car did jumpstart, but it wouldn't jumpstart last night when I tried. I'm thinking it's their alternator. It's a push start but the doesn't crank over like it's trying to send fuel so my guess is that it's something electrical. If it is draining the battery and did jumpstart with battery cables earlier, it's most likely the alternator. I watched YouTube videos and they said how much of a pain this job was. Can you please give me detailed pictures, steps and any word of caution like do I need to remove any motor mounts, A/C belt, how to get A/C belt back on, does the alternator come out more easily from the top or bottom, etc? I'm not looking forward to this job, but I want to get it done for them. Is the placement of the battery and alternator kind of like Mercedes and BMW that use design obsolescence so you have to take it to a shop, I don't know?
Also, their windshield wiper blade extends to far out and is scraping the paint on the passenger side. Sides like it needs a new windshield wiper motor, right?
Every time I submit questions now on my phone, I get this weird one-line attachment sentence on the top of the page saying it couldn't be received or something.

We only handle one subject at a time so please submit a new question for the windshield motor. Also, that is a strange problem on your phone to submit a question. Can I ask which phone you have, and can you upload a screenshot of what you see? Here are the instructions on how to change the alternator out start by disconnecting the battery negative cable. The job doesn't look too bad, but you will need to raise the vehicle up and do some of the work from underneath. If you run into trouble, please upload images of the problem so I can help walk you through the repair. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
