Removing seats

I have a 1984 Pontiac Fiero I just bought cheap! 4cyl. Couple thousand miles on a rebuilt engine standard shift. It runs fine. My problem is that I had someone else drive it home and did not realize that the drivers seat will not budge. After looking I noticed that the tracks are all rusted. My question is how do I remove the seat from the car so that I may clean up or replace the tracks?

The tracks may not be the problem.
You know the handle you pull to the side under the seat? There is a wire on it, that connects it to a second lever on the track on the other side.
If that wire is rusted broken, you will have to reach under the seat and move that lever manually, while pulling on the handle.
