1996 Buick LeSabre 100,000+ mileage 3.8L v6 engine. I replace the water pump and its started making noises and if I drive it too long it would cut off and I have to let it sit for awhile before I could start driving again. My oil gage would start shaking and eventually get lower and lower the longer I Drive car. Its acts as if it is running hot but my temp gage doesn't move. I was told I needed and oil pump and I put it on and its still running hot.

Did you make sure to bleed all the air out of the cooling system before driving? Sounds like it's air locked but I'm not sure with the fact that the temp gauge doesn't move. Does it go anywhere at all? Or does it move to the normal running spot and stay there?
