Clutch prob again!

Can anyone help? I have just had a new clutch fiited by a friend who is a trainee mechanic, it engages into gear fine but makes a grinding noise, has it been fitted wrong? If so, please could you give me an idea of what has been done wrong, many thanks

That is exactly what happened to my clutch, had it replaced 2 times in a year and then it started grinding, now I can't even get it in 3rd or 4th gear. I am wondering if mechanic did something wrong or if was inevitable and there is something other than the clutch that needs repairs?
