Bent Crankshaft

While pulling out my 1986 GM motor for repairs, it was accidentaly dropped onto the ground. It landed on the pulley that is attached to the crankshaft. My oil pan was also damaged and the mechanic agreed to repair it but refused to repair the crankshaft. He said it was not possible to bend a crankshaft. Is this correct? It fell from a height of approx. 3-4 feet

IT doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. IS he willing to own up to it if there is a problem?
Can always send it to machine shop and have them check it first. If it's good, you pay, if it's bad the mechanic pays.

If you are going through the trouble of repairing it, I would have it checked while its out. Alot easier
