Greetings.

I have a '96 Rodeo 4WD 3.2L V6, 72000 miles that has just had an exchange/rebuilt auto trans fitted - 4L30-E.
My question is - at what rpms should the gear changing take place. It is revving at 2750 before changing. I think that is far too high. I would like to think it would be around 2200 or so. I drive conservitively, and dont do fast acceleration from a stop.

Thanks
Owen

There is a adjustment for the shift pattern, take it back to the guys who did the trans and have them fix it.

Ken, Thanks for your reply.
Years ago I was a qualified mechanic, and I was sure that there is a shift adjustment.
I have been back to the shop - an Isuzu Dealer, and they say there is nothing wrong.
Can you give me approx rpm for shifting?
Thanks again.
