96 Grand Am 3.1, oil pan removal

How do you remove the the bolts on the sides of the oil pan to remove oil pan? Engine is completely against the trans on back side. Can not get wrench in to remove bolts. Do you have to take out the the engine to just take the oil pan off? :(

Very carefully. No seriously. VERY carefully. It's going to require that you lower the engine. No need to take it out of the car. It's much easier to do it on a lift.
