95 F-150 EGR code

I have a 95 f 150 and it keeps throwing an egr code and I have replaced the position switch and noone knows wut else it could be. Im not sure if I have a vacum leak but it seems like there is always a little vacum to the egr but it idles great could it be the vaccum regulator? Or is it stuck open just a lil bit?

It could be the sensor rod is too long. Clean the area in the manifold very good. I sometimes shave a little from the rod so the code will go away. Good luck

Well heres the deal I took off the vaccum hose to the egr and at city speeds the light isnt comming on I havent tried the highway cuz im surs the light will come on sayin its not opening. So could it be some kind of vaccum regulator keeping the egr open just a little bit cuz my truck runs great, but if its open to far it runs like crap.
