Was out of town, and my wife took the truck in to get an oil change. When she got home, the oil dipstick was missing.

I was unable to get a factory one, as I was in a hurry and at the auto zone. But got a universal one. I am asking how can I find the length of the dipstick? What is the correct lenght of a dipstick?



I appreciate any and all information.

2 options find another 1998 same everything and measure it
or goto the dealer they should have these available or at least be able to tell you the correct length
