Front ABS: Just replaced brakes & rotors all 4 wheels, Van has 65000 mi. Went OK, but I am getting a metal to metal sound on both front wheels. I am wondering if the ABS sensor could be touching the gear like part of the rotor, to make the sound, or what the sound could be?

How long has it been making noise? Only from the front? Right left or both sides? All the time or only when the brakes are applied? Does it get louder with speed or remain constant?

Some possibillities other than the abs thing, some rust found its way onto the pads or the metal sensor/squeeler is bent and in constant contact with the rotor.

You will need to jack up each wheel and spin them by hand to narrow it down. A good ear and a close eye will reveal the culprit. Damn sounds like a forutne cookie.

Good hunting and let us know. :)
