I have a 2000 Mercedes S430 with 68K miles. Today the power steering instantly shut off, and a warning appeared saying Coolant. Stop, engine off. When I shut the car off coolant started to pour out of the car. The user manual said it could relate to a v-belt, any idea if it is possible to change this on our own, and a price of the fix? Any other ideas on the possible problem? Thanks

Have you checked the belts on your engine, sounds like one broke, hence shutting off power steering, and probably water pump (hence coolant warning).
