250,000 miles w/climate control. Vents not working properly. AC worked fine last summer but the heat would not come on if needed. Over the winter, heater finally came back on but AC would not work. This summer only heat, no AC. In fact, the heat will not stop. I can't find any vaccum lines. I looked under the front bumper/wheel wheels, can't find the vaccum. Are the vent doors electric? Can I manually move the vent doors? I have looked under the dash, can't make sense of anything under there.

2nd prob. Sometimes when I put the key in I get a unknown driver message and the car won't start. This has happened 3 times over the past 3 weeks. I keep trying to use the electric truck opener until the wrong driver message clears. Takes from 1 hour to 3 days.

I made a donation before I asked the question and registered.

Please help. Thanks

First problem could be the blend door servo. Need to get under the dash and see if the servo moves when it is turned from hot to cold. Does the a/c compressor engage when it is turned on?
What is the unknown driver message? Could be an anti-theft problem, car is having a hard time reading the key. Does the anti-theft light blink when it wont start?

I'm not sure what the blend door servo looks like.

The AC compressor does engage.

The unknown driver message shows up on my driver information center screen.
I think the anti theft light does blink when it won't start.

The lowest door usually. There is an electric motor that moves the door. Look at the shaft going into the plenum while you move temp hot to cold and see if it moves

I have the digital climate control.

I can see what looks like the end of a shaft in couple of black plastic cases which are probably small motors.
When I change the temp or vent, the shaft doesn't spin and I don't hear anything happening.

When I reach up high into the dash, I can feel cold.

The fuses all check ok. I have switched out a couple of HVAC relays no change.

Again, thanks for your help.

I would lean toward the motor being bad, have replaced many of them
