1998 Windstar

When I made a right turn my car made a funny noise and it wouldn't let me go faster than 25 mph. The car can only essentially drive now on no higher than 2nd gear. What should I do?

Trust the dipstick. The visual should only show parts inside. The oil drains to the oil pan.

Was there any check engine light activity? Did it come on at all while being driven? I would start with a check of the basics. You need to know whether there is fuel to the cylinders and you need to make sure that there is good spark to the plugs.
