1996 Aerostar tranny problem. Autotapped, have codes.

Hello. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

As mentioned, the vehicle is a 1996 Aerostar, 4.0L 4R55E Transmission.

I Autotapped it just now and here are the trouble codes-
P0707- Transmission range sensor circuit low (there were several of these)
P0401- EGR flow insufficient detected
P0402- EGR flow excessive detected
P1701- Reverse engagement error

I will copy/paste a description of what's going on from another forum where I've been discussing this.


One of the guys wasn't sure what I meant by "hunting", so I also posted this-

Oh, I guess I should actually ask my question.?

Based on the TC's, what part do you think is failing? I'm not overly familiar with electronically controlled Ford transmissions.
