1994 Ranger fuel filler hose leaks

If I fill my tank full I have some leakage from top of tank. The large hose around the filler pipe is dry rotted and leaks. The dealer does not have a replacement hose. Said they could only sell a complete filler assy for around $300.00. Has anyone found a replacement hose that will fix this problem?

I personally have not found a suitable replacement. When it comes to safety items such as fuel systems I wont take the risk. Even though it doesnt seem right, you should buy the factory replacement assembly.
