I have a squealing noise when I start my car cold, and it usually last 2-3 minutes. Seems to cut in again if I turn the a/c on, and cut out when I turn it off! What could this be, why, and how do I fix it?

More than likely it's the belt. Take some lubricant like wd-40 and when you first start the vehicle, spray it on the belt. If the noise goes right away, then replace the belt.

Nope, it's not the belt, belive me i've tried the wd-40, belt dressing, everything I recently done an engine swap too and replaced all the belts so everything has less than 1000km's on it!

Check to make sure the ac compressor isn't locking up when the clutch is engaged. Also check all other pulleys too.
