So my timing belt broke and I bought a new head. The head had no cams in it so I used mine that I had in the head with bent valves. I hvae the + on the flywheel lined up and the cam gears pionted straight up(Up Arrow). My question is that in my complete use motor with 86,000miles on it #1 cly is TDC and the cam gears are pionted down and the + is aligned with the pionter on block if somone can tell me step by step how to put this thing in time I would realy appreciate it alot I have spent over 1300 and I have been without the car for 2 months tring to get it fixed and I have spent 2 weeks trying to figure out the timing!

You have the engine piston #1 at TDC. The head should go on with the three lines on the camshaft and the center line pointing skyward. The two outside lines should be paralell to the top of the head. Put the timing belt on and you are set. After you get it running you need to fine tune the timing with a timing light? Is that clearer?
