Looking for opinions on automatic transmission sealers. Have a leak by the pump housing and they say 12.9 hours to remove trans and fix the leak. 51,000 miles. Do the leak sealers work, one better than the other? Want to try something b/4 I spend BIG bucks to seal a gasket.
Thanks

Looking for recommendations on a good automatic transmission leak sealer. 51,000 miles, leaks from lower pump housing, 12.9 hrs to r/r trans and fix the leak according to the mech. Willing to try anything to save this expense. Thanks Frank

From my experience sealers never work, at least not for long. If the leak isn't too bad you might want to just keep filling the tranny as needed. When it gets too bad to deal with just get a new or remanifactued tranny, it'll cost about the same as fixing your old one. Max 4 hours labor.
