I lost my original key to my car and had it replaced by a lock smith. The key worked to unlock the car and start it. It worked a few times and then the alarm started going off. The lights and horn go off. I discounted the battery for long periods of times, (it is drained and needs to be jumped every time) I have tried turning the key in the door lock, nothing turns the alarm off. But the car will start. Suggestions?

Take to a mechanic so he can reprogram the security system from the new key you had made. you can try a security reset, but it seems you have been unsuccessful. See link.
