My partner converted her car into a campervan and now has the airbag light on and the seat belt tensioner light on. She bought an OBDEleven to see if she could turn off the rear seat. It is asking for a security access code. Need to know if the Airbag Control Module allows this for this year make and model.

The system and the sensors must be connected for the system to turn on. Where airbags and seat belts removed? You will need to have someone reprogram the systems for you which can be done with the correct scan tool/programmer.

You will need to call the dealer with the VIN number, and they may ask more questions before they give you the code.

They will probably need to code it for you. They just want to know that you are the owner of the car. Either way I way give them a call.

The official VW mechanics unfortunately will not help. It is for the airbag system, and they are worried about liability.

Yep, that will be the problem. Can you reconnect the items that were removed and just tuck them out of the way?

Unfortunately no longer have them. Only solution now is to use dummys 3.3 ohm resisters from eBay and then reset with OBDEleven

Several YouTube videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOZHUFlwFGE There are also dummys made with the pins that make it even easier on Ebay. Different videos show the range to test is between 2.2-3.3 ohms.

I understand. I had a different video. But I could not find it. Sold the car to a mechanic who is going to get it working. Thanks for everything!
