I just got got my car started after replacing everything on my steering wheel. When I starter the truck I got an air bag code of B0022 usually means there's a fault in the passenger seat belt retractor. I watched some YouTube videos about the code and I didn't find any wires under the passenger seat. What could be the cause of the problem. Noted, my truck is a 1500HD. I have found that some of the things on my truck are like the 2500HD model.

On GM trucks (1999- 2002 Silverado/Sierra), B0022 does not always refer only to the passenger seat belt retractor. This is most likely caused by a bad clock spring which is super common. I would remove the steering wheel and install a new clock spring. If the SIR coil is rotated even one turn off-center, the internal ribbon cable may overstretch and break a conductor which is typical. The code will clear automatically.
