Do I have to buy the exact intake box that's made for my car?

You don't have to you can get one of the aftermarket kits if you like. But if staying stock, yes. Make sure there are no holes from air cleaner to throttle body

Your factory system draws air in from outside the engine bay. That way the engine actually gets cooler fresh air. While most of the "cold air" kits have the air filter out in the open under the hood. Care to guess where one of the hottest areas to draw in air form is? Yep, under the hood.
