I changed the air filter and after putting new one in it didn't want to stay started. So then I put the old one back in which was way dirty and it stayed running like normal. Why would the car not want to stay running after putting in new air filter?

Hello,

The only reason I can see for this is that a rag or something was blocking the air from making it's way into the engine. Are you sure you purchased the correct filter? If a incorrect filter, for whatever reason, was installed, it could restrict the air intake or possibly keep the air box from closing all the way and create an intake leak.

Thanks,
Alex
