I have replaced the left side actuator and the problem persists. The air directional door is stuck open and there is a tick-tick-ticking sound when the temperature is set to the coldest setting and the A/C comes on, but it is behind the actuator and behind the little 'drive shaft' that turns the actuator.
Solution?

Good morning,

The ticking noise is the actuator motor that is not functioning correctly.

Did you replace the actuator motor? If you did and the actuator is not moving the door, then there may be something blocking the door from moving..

With that in mind, the new actuator motor is no good, as well as the plastic gears, have failed.

What exactly has been done?
