When I turn on the fan then click the A/C button it doesn't turn on (the light doesn't illuminate). Also the light will light up every once in a while randomly while driving. But the recirculate button comes on when I push it as well as the defrost button and the rear A/C button. I can have the fan in the off position and it will still blow through the vents as if I have it on 1 ( the lowest setting other than off). What could be my issue?

Hi,

Did this happen all at once, or has the A/C been slowly getting warm? Also, you said the rear A/C light comes on, does the A/C work in the rear of the vehicle?

Let me know. Also, you may want to consider having the vehicle's CAN bus system scanned for diagnostic codes. CAN stands for computer area network. In the newer vehicles, several modules are tied together using very few wires. The problem could be related to the body control module or even the AC control unit. A can scan provides more information than a traditional scan. Here is a quick video showing how it's done and how it is more beneficial:

That is what should be done at this point to help limit the number of possible causes.

Regardless, when you turn the fan off and feel continue to feel air flow, can you hear the fan still running or does it seem like it could be outside air coming through the system?

Also, can you control air flow direction? For example, will it change from floor to defroster?

Let me know.
