Electrical problem
2003 Acura TL V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

2003 Acura TL Low beam head light not working. I've replaced the passenger side bulb and the initial test (turn lights on) the bulb came on. Left it on for 3 minutes and it seemed to be fine. The next day, the light didn't turn on. The driver side bulb is fine. Could it be the ballast or inverter? What's the difference between the two?

There are only 3 parts. The bulb that glows, the igniter that lights it up and the inverter/ballast that supplies constant power.
First check the headlight fuse in the engine compartment fuse box and make sure its ok. If its blown and and it blows the next one you install, replace the inverter. You said that it lit up when you replaced the bulb so I assume the igniter is good. If you want to test without spending parts, swap the left with the right side inverter/igniter/bulb, they are interchangeable but you have to remove the bumper to do so.
Good luck.
