Hi,

I have had difficulty shifting the car into Reverse to get started (5 speed auto). It takes several minutes in the morning for the car to warm up enough for this to happen. Once I get going - no problem, but if the car sits and it's relatively cold out (40 & below) it seems like it occurs again.

Once it allows me to shift into reverse, I have no problems until it sits & repeats.

Help?

Is the transmission actually selecting revers with no drive, or is it that you cant select reverse till it warms up a bit?

I may have misstated my original question. The difficultly I am having is actually getting the car out of park, and into reverse when it's cold.

In other words, mechanically, the shifter feels partially "locked", allowing me to move it slightly to the right to get out of park, but not far enough to "pull down" into reverse.

Thanks for the help!
