I slid off the road recently and hit/ran over a short post or something. Anyway, when I drive forward or straight there isn't a problem until I start to turn or break which there comes a grinding sound on the driver's side wheel area. Is it the bearings and how do I know? I checked underneath and noticed my boot for the CV axel/shaft is now loose where it wasn't before. If the CV shaft is damaged how can I tell?

CV joints are found only in front wheel drive vehicles. You can tell if your CV Joints have gone bad if when you turn your steering wheel you hear a loud clicking sound. If your steering wheel is getting stuck you might need to send it to a car repair shop.
