Alright, yesterday I was driving along and for some reason my rpm and mph gauges were going down and back up a couple times, what does that mean?

and when I went to start my car a few hours later it cranked and everything sounded fine but when I let go of my key it shut off, now what does that also mean?

is it my starter, spark plugs or timing belt?

please help me asap

its a 94 legend L coupe with a 3.4 L and I have 150,000 miles on it

I fixed it by simply replacing the ignition switch, after doing many many tests on other things that was the last possible thing it could have been.

It was about 80 bucks

if you have a chilton book for 94-00 acura coupes and sedans, the illustration of this looks simple but its not. It shows the switch being on the side of the steering column but it is actually behind the ignition itself so be prepared to drop your steering column and being cramped for about 30 min
