When I drastically turn my steering wheel to the left, I am feeling a lot of resistance. It takes a lot of effort to get the wheel to turn. Could this be a rack and pinion bolt, CV boot or wheel bearing issue?

Hi loufuq,

Only when turning left?

Should be a fault in the steering rack valve body directional pin, most probably stuck.

Thanks for the info.

Maybe I misspoke, I usually feel the tension when I am trying to make full turn(rotating the steering wheel numerous revolutions). However, I get some minor tension when I am trying to turn it regularly. This mostly happens when turning to the left.

Hi loufuq,

Check the power steering pump belt condition and tension.

If belt is ok, it should be the valve body, servicing it will solve the problem.
