This is a fairly simple question that I may or may not have the answer to but I need a second opinion. I have a 1992 Acura Legend Sedan. The Cruise Control isnt working. On the dash panel I have a physical button that I have to press to turn on the cruise control which lights up as a green LCD. Once I have the speed in which I want to cruise the steering wheel has the switch which has the options for cruise control. So what Im saying is the button on the dash is working but the switche(s) on the steering wheel are not. Would this be a problem with the cruise control computer? Or do I need to get another switch? Thanks.

Hi makinmovez247,

Symptom indicates that the cruise control main switch is working but you are not able to set the cruise speed.

Possible causes are :
1. Bad stop light switch.
2. Faulty cruise control unit.
3. Faulty steering switch.
4. Open circuit in switch circuit.

You need to perform diagnostics to find out what is wrong.
