MPG dropped off the deep end and I dont know why. Check engine light is flashing and when I check it, it says misfire in cylinders 1, 2, and random. Replaced timing belt, distributor, cleaned cylinders out, changed fuel filter and water pump, replaced spark plugs and light is still on. Any ideas of what to check. Vehicle runs ok not as powerful and sucking up gas.

Hi noexperience,

DTC 300 set with P0301, P0302, P0303 or P0304 indicates a random misfire. To help determine the cause of the misfire, check the following:

Insufficient fuel pressure/volume.
Distributor malfunction.
Ignition coil wire open.
Ignition module malfunction.
Low compression.
IAC valve malfunction.
Fast idle thermovalve malfunction.
Poor fuel quality.
VTEC system malfunction.

After distributor and timing belt replacement, was the ignition timing checked and adjusted accordingly?
