1997 Acura Integra Dash lights not working?

I just bought my 97 integra GS. I noticed that the dash lights dont come on and the clock keeps reseting itself to 1:00 everytime I turn the car on. I tried looking around to see if maybe a wire was loose but I didnt know what to do. Some say it could be the aftermarket cd player might need to be uninstalled and rewired again. Could it be that I have a short somewhere? How do I look for it and fix it? Also when I turn on my headlights the clock light does not dimm down. And my stereo resets as well. Can yo please help me.

Any aftermarket electronics, if not installed correctly can give you electrical troubles on almost any circuit. What is NOT a factory item? Radio, remote start and security systems are the normal headaches!
