1995 Acura Integra 95 Acura Integra POWER AND 1600 RPMs LOS

I have a 95 acura integra 4cyl 1.8L DOHC v-tech. My check engine light came on one day and my car was having a hard time getting up to speed. I let it sit for a few hours and drove it again and it was fine, then it came on the next day and had a hard time getting up to speed. Then I was getting on the interstate and it cut out at 6600 rpm when it normally has 8200 rpms. I looked under my hood and there was a hose runnin from the top of the engine to the air filter tube leaving a hole for dust and crap to get in to the engine im guessing.I have no clue how long it has been off either. What happened and can it be fixed?

Hi integra420,

That tube is for blowby gas recirculation and should have nothing to do with the check engine light. If the hose is detached, just plug it back in.

Get a scan done to find out what has gone wrong.

If the rpm cuts off early, most probablt the TPS is the cause.
