1994 Acura Integra Stage 2 Clutch Brand Choice

For a list of irrelevant reasons, I need to replace a Stage 2 clutch in this car. The mechanic advised me to purchase the item on my own as he would have a severe mark up and it's already more expensive than your average clutch.

As a non-car expert, I'm wondering what the best brand / price is. Today on EBay there are 7 options and at least 3 brands.

I'm thinking of purchasing the Exedy for $405, as that's cheaper than the same brand on other sites, but there is a "390HP" for $230 from "eclutchmasters", and a "JDM" for $275.

What's the best answer here?

Hello
Thanks for the donation.

Anytime you replace stock equipment with aftermarket equipment you will have to choose a brand to use which makes it more difficult then just replacing a stock part. I researched a little information for you about aftermarket clutches and I came to the conclusion that XDT brand would be the best choice for a intermediate priced stage 2 clutch. Seems like this clutch will last and not break down and slip within months like other brands I researched.

One thing to take note when purchasing is that you get what you pay for. So if you pay $100 for a clutch then chances are you are going to have a $100 clutch. If you pay $400 then you will have a $400 clutch, etc. Usually it is better to save a little more money and go with a more expensive brand then to settle with a cheaper brand.

Hope this helps.
