The battery light on my integra has started coming on when my car is idling at less than 1500 RPM (say at a traffic light). The alternator belts are fine, and the battery was put in in september. Does that mean I have to replace my alternator?

Most likely, stop by your local parts store and they will check the charging system for free, it doesn't get any better than that. Then let me know if you need further assistance.

K, so I got the charging system checked, and it's apparently fine. From 14.5 without load to 14.2 with load. Still not sure what the problem is, as the car idles fine, and starts just fine as well.

I understand where you're coming from, the alternator checks out perfectly, but sometimes even though it checks out perfectly I have found a malfunction in the regulator (that is internally) that does not appear when you are checking the alternator for a load, therefore if you want to repair the problem you will have to replace the alternator, if not just live with it.
