When I first get in my car I have to turn the key to the on position and wait a few minutes for the check engine light to go off. After it clicks off it will come back on temoprarily while the fuel pump primes and then it will go off again and then I can start the car. Any ideas?

Hi JRStefani,

There are 2 possible causes for ht e problem.

1. Faulty PGM-FI main relay. Remove it and check the circuit board, if any cracks are found with the solders, resoldering would solve the problem.

2. Faulty ECM. Remove the ECM and check for leaking capacitors. Replacement of the capacitors might work but there is no guarantee it would.
