My 91 Integra's hazard lights stopped working. The fuse box lists a location for the hazard fuse, but there is not a corresponding slot in that location. In any case, I have checked all fuses in the underdash and underhood fuse boxes and they are all OK. I understand the turn signals and hazard lights share the same flasher unit and have located it near the steering column. The turn signals work fine. When I depress the hazard switch, the turn signals turn off. Does this sound like a problem with the flasher unit? Is there a way to test the flasher unit? I would appreciate any insight into my problem. I hate to buy a $40 flasher unit if this isn't the problem.

The turn signals and the hazard lights work on separate circuits but the flashers are identical there is one flasher for the turn signal and another flasher for the hazards you should be able to swap them around and see if it makes any difference, but by the way of sounding when you turn on your turn signal and you hit your flashers there may be electrical problem
