Air Conditioning problem
1999 Acura CL 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 54982 miles

I am getting water leaking from the AC unit behind the glove compartment onto the passenger side floor mat. Also it is dripping onto the drivers feet.
I have checked with a garden hose on the windshield and the engine compartment fire wall. This shows no leaks.
I need to know if this is caused by a blocked drain or something internal of the AC unit.

Hi prandyb2,

Check the evaporator drain hose for clogging or if it is dislodged.

Thanks for the reply. Where do I look for the drain tubes on the evaporator?

At the lowest part of the evaporator housing, under the glove box there is a drain hose that leads out to the firewall into the engine compartment.

Check if it is detached. You would need to flip the carpet out to have a better view.

Right on the money with your answer. Detached drain tube and got the air hose and also fished a wire into the housing unit. All looks good and draining onto ground like it should. Floor and carpet drying out.

Thanks
