Random acceleration problem

When accelerating at times, the car wont move with any speed. It continues to do this when you try to accelerate. Eventually the car engages properly and there will be no repeats of this problem for a week or so. It is a random occurrence. What is the likely culprit?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

There are a number of things. A bad throttle pedal position sensor, the position sensor on the throttle body, and many other things. Have you made the dealership aware of the issue? The vehicle is still under 100% factory warranty.
