A/C wiring connection

My car's A/C fan works continuously when I switch the A/C on. I guess the fan is supposed cut off or stop when the compressor stops to rest. I can hear the compressor cutting on and off but the fan continuously to turn. I took it to garage for repair. They tap a line from one of the two wires connected to the compressor. And connect it to the fan. So anytime the compressor stops the fan also stops. Will this cause any problems? Though the connection is working so far, is there anyway to properly do the connection? Thanks.

By bypassing the when the A/C is turned off. It may cause the car to get hotter, most cars have it so the fan shuts down when the engine cools down.

Is the A/C fan suppose to switch off when the compressor is off? On again when the compressor is on. Or is the fan suppose to run continuously even when the compressor switch itself off to rest?

The fan runs when the car reaches a certain temperature. It also goes on when the A/C is turned on. Once the A/C is shut off the fan will run for a period for the engine to cool off to normal temperature. Try this turn the car on and run it for a minute. Turn the A/C on, the fan should start. Before the car heats up shut the A/C off at that time the fan should stop. If it does not there might be a problem in the fan relay.

Cooling fan relay is located in either the under-hood fuse and relay center or mounted to the electric fan assembly behind the radiator.
