AC Temp Problem blowing hot?

Has started just blowing hot, but "seems" to have adequate charge. Also, the center vents in the dash pass very little air regardless of the mode selected. I was told this could be due to issues with either or both the blend door and/or the mode door actuators. Is there a video that shows location and replacement of either of these? I have found some but they are all for 2007 and up (Gen 2) MDX models and the dash and console panels are configured differently than the Gen 1 models. Blower motor seems to run just fine.

Thanks

Yep, it sounds like the mode actuator is not working correctly. Here is the location of the actuator so you can swap it out, no video that I know of on youtube sorry, check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes, Ken

Thanks for the quick reply. I can see the mode door as the probable cause for the distribution (low flow to center vents regardless of mode selection) but would that also cause the air from any vent to be hot regardless of the temp selection (i.E, hvac temp display reading 60 or lo while it's 85° outside)?

Best regards,
Randy

Yes, it can but to be sure remove the actuator and turn the system on, then move the pivot for the blend door by hand to see if the HVAC start working like normal, did both these issues start at once? Also, does the HVAC blow hot like the heater is on or like the AC is not working?
