This is the second time my A/C has acted up! Its on, sounds normal. You hear the compressor kicking off an on. It has the normal speed. Just nothing comes out the vent. No air, what so ever. Last time it did it. Two days later, it was working fine. Then when I sit still for to long. My air slows down. Sometimes it'll stop or blow real low. Until I get going with no stops for about 5 minutes. Like it needs more amperage. I'm lost please help.

Hi,

The idea that it seems to lose voltage is possible or you could have a blower motor that is going bad and overheating.

When the blower motor is running, is there any odd noises coming from it? Do you ever notice any odd smells when this happens? If not, we need to next check connections and grounds that may be loose, corroded, or damaged in some way.

I attached the wiring schematic for the HVAC system below. I had to cut it in half to make it readable, but I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next.

It isn't likely anything with the fuse since it works. What I would suggest is to check the connections at the blower motor. Here is how it works:

Power from the fuse is sent to the motor via a brown wire with an orange tracer. The fan works when the blower motor speed controller provides a ground to the motor. So, we need to check the connections there as well.

The blower motor is under the dash on the passenger side. Disconnect the wiring to it and inspect it for evidence of an issue.

Next, the blower motor speed controller is under the hood below the heater core hoses. I found a pic of one and attached it below. Check the wiring there as well.

Here is a link to help when checking the wiring:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,
