A/C not blowing cold air

The A/C doesn’t blow cold, the compressor is engaging, and I hooked up my gauges to make sure there is refrigerant in it and there is, but it’s not blowing cold. I also felt the low-pressure line and it doesn’t feel cold or isn’t “sweating” like it should be it’s just dry.

Hello,

As you have gauges can you please confirm the system pressure when A/C is switched off and low/high pressure when system is operating.

Also is the cooling fan operating when the A/C is switched on?

Cheers, Boris

The low side is around 50-60 and the high side was around 150-200. Yes, the cooling fans are working, but I also notice that the compressor clutch stays on it does not disengage.

Hello,

The low-pressure side looks a bit high, you should have about half, 26-36 PSI at 1500 RPMs.
The high pressure is also a bit low, expect to see 225-250 PSI.
You either have too little refrigerant or a possible faulty expansion valve.

Upon looking for expansion valve I found the evaporator core with it, and it was really filthy and dirty. My guess is the evaporator core from being dirty was giving me the issue.

Hello,

It does sound plausible that this is cause of the air-conditioning not blowing cold.

Please keep us posted on the outcome

Cheers, Boris
