Air conditioner Fan, cruise control and MPG display randomly goes on and off

My air conditioner fan, cruise control and the miles per gallon display above the rear-view mirror stops randomly and comes back on randomly. What could this be?

This will need to be scanned for codes by a mechanic to see what is wrong causing this to happen.

It cold be but you need to scan it for codes to see if it is or not. Also if you replace it it has to be programmed to your car.
