A/C compressor not turning on. Bypassed the relay for the clutch and the clutch activated. Turned on while bypassing the relay and clutch activated but no cold air. Freon level was good as well. Changed the compressor, clutch relay and pressure sensor switch and checked all the fused related and all were good but still not turning on. Would the ground be the next thing to check or is there another reason it wouldn’t be turning on? Vacuum was created, and Freon refilled after compressor change.

Clearly it sounds like the pressure is correct, but I just want to make sure you are checking this with a gauge set. Basically, if you have changed all this and you jump the compressor relay, and it comes on, but it still does not blow cold then we have a system issue. This is where we need the pressures just to find out what is happening inside the system.

If it blew cold when it was jumped, then we would focus on the control side, but we need to start with pressures when you jump the relay, and the compressor is running.

If they are normal, then we need to remove the relay and check for power and ground where it should be. Basically, the PCM grounds the relay and that closes the relay which sends power to the compressor, so we need to find out what we don't have so that we know where to go next.

See the attached for details on this.

Thanks
