AC amplifier issue, do you have pin out?

AC works some of the time. New AC amplifier hundreds. Yards not keeping xb’s. Toyota part number is 88650-52440. 2006 used two-part numbers. If the car was made in last 5 months of year, they used the part I just mentioned. Do you have pin out? Can it be bypassed? Is there a board inside that can easily be fixed, like a bad capacitor or something?

The only way to tell if the board can be fixed is to open it up and inspect the circuits/components but we may be able to bypass it. Here are the wiring diagrams for the A/C system so we can see how the system works and go from there. The AC magnet valve may be pulling too much amperage causing the amplifier to go out. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

A local yard got a 2006 Scion xB, date code was April, but ac amplifier matched. I will include pic of location and box. Unfortunately, it did not fix issue. Only thing left was a compressor. Fortunately, car in the yard had recently replaced the compressor. When I removed my old one, I noticed very little oil. That could have been the root of the original problem. Back to ice cold air 45degrees. Couldn’t find that ac amplifier on eBay so likely sell other one there as it wasn’t the problem. Thanks for the pin out and help.

Yep, the amplifier looks like it's in good shape. If the compressor clutch was going bad it can cause a high amperage draw causing the amplifier to overload and quit. Glad you could get it fixed, that kind of problem can be tough. Please use 2CarPros anytime we are here to help.
