6.7 liter engine. When idling A/C compressor and when revved up low pressure goes down and high goes up and compressor shuts off.

Good afternoon.

The compressor will cut off if the low pressure drops to 20 lb.

What are the exact readings you have off idle?

The low pressure on idle is at about 40 and drops when revved up and the high is about 250 and when revved goes higher and the compressor shuts off.

Okay, if the low hits 20, it will shut down.

The low side should not change from idle to higher rpm. That tells me you need an expansion valve if that is the case.

Sounds like you need an expansion valve and a receiver dryer, evacuate and recharge.

We own a little mechanic shop in Waskom Texas so I will let my mechanic know that he needs an expansion valve and dryer, and then recharge. I will let you know if that fixes the issue.
