When I stop at a red light or in traffic my AC turns off. When I get back going it comes back on. It is not running hot. It had ran hot about a month ago and I had the radiator flushed and I went washed the front of it at the car wash. But it started turning off again today. Not sure if I need a new radiator or what.

Good afternoon.

Do you know if the compressor actually turns off or does it just blow warm air?

Do you have gauges to test the high and low side pressures for the AC while it is running?

No the compressor does not turn off. And I do not have gauges to test it.

Okay, you can rent a set at a parts store. Knowing those pressures would help us in our diagnosis of the system.
